かつてこの地にあった八幡製鉄所の社宅跡地に建つ特別養護老人ホーム120床・ショートステイ10床。敷地中央に「もやい通り」と呼ぶ道を設定し、その道に面して、事務室、ラジオ放送局、カフェ、足湯などを配置した。また、休日には「もやい通り」で花や野菜の即売会が催され、施設が地域に開放されている。敷地内に道ができることにより、敷地の境界が曖昧になり、街と敷地が一体になることにより、かつて高度成長を支えたこの街に住む人たちが、自然に違和感なく入居でき、最期までこの場所に居続けることができる施設になることを目指している。

A unique nursing home which is providing 120 bed for long stay, and 10 bed for short stay located on the ex-company site of the Yahata Steel. Access from "Moya Street" in the center of the site, the building is facing the road, the office, radio station, cafe, foot-bathing, etc. In weekend and holiday we arranged spot sale for flowers and vegetables at "Moya Avenue". The boundary of the site is unseen which makes the premises and the city become united, so people who live in this town can stay in this place as comfort as their own home.
