晴れた日も雨の日も、運動が好きな子も読書が好きな子も、居場所が見つけられる保育園を目指した。60年以上地域に根付いてきた保育園の建て替え計画。既存園舎は老朽化していたが、屋内廊下がなく、保育室と園庭が縁側のようなスペースを介して繋がっていた。園児がその縁側を使って上手に遊んでいる姿を見て、新園舎においても屋内廊下を設けず、保育室と園庭を自由に行き来できる計画にしたいと考えた。外廊下では木製デッキとゴムチップを使い分け、軒の深さを詳細に検討することにより、園庭と保育室のあいだのスペースで多様な過ごし方、遊び方ができるようにした。また、遊戯室においてもステージを常設し、読み聞かせをしやすいようにするとともにアクティブに活動しても傷まない頑丈な仕上げとした。そのような内外が曖昧に繋がる園舎で、それぞれの園児が好きな居場所を見つけることができることを願っている。

Whether it is a sunny day or rainy day, whether for children who like to exercise or children who like reading, we proposed to create a kindergarten where they can do whatever they want. It is a building revitalization project that has taken root in the region for over 60 years old of kindergarten. The existing garden was dilapidated, but there was no indoor corridor, and the nursery room and the garden were connected by a space like a veranda. Seeing the children having fun at playing in the porch, we wanted to make a plan so that the nursery room and the garden could be freely moved back and forth without an indoor corridor in the new building. In the outer corridor, wooden decks and rubber chips were used and by examining the depth of the eaves in detail, so they can enjoy time and play in various ways in the space between the garden and the nursery room. In addition, a stage has been permanently installed in the playroom to make it easier and louder for reading activity and to have a sturdy finish that will not be easily damaged. We hope that each children can find a place they like in such a kindergarten where the inside and outside are vaguely connected.
