1600年代創建の福岡県中部にある寺院の門信徒会館（以下：会館）と納骨堂の建て替えプロジェクト。年2回のイベントである法要が、この地域の方々の楽しみのひとつのようで、かつては臨時列車や夜店がでて、旧会館では沢山の宿泊者で賑わった様子を伺った。その時の様子をイメージし、イベントの時には境内と会館が一体になることを目指した。また、会館・納骨堂と全てエレベーターで往来できる計画とし、その中間階にある本堂もバリアフリーにすることを提案した。外観は本堂を極力尊重し、かつ、お寺の新たな活動の決意を感じさせるものになることを目指した。この地域ならではの交流の拠点となり、若住職の悲願である法要の際、大きな本堂が満堂になることを私たちも夢見ている。

The rebuilding project of the temple that was founded in the 1600‘s in the central of Fukuoka Prefecture. Twice a year the temple conducted big events and gather the people of this area, temporary street food and shop were included made crowd at the old hall building. In the design process we imagined the situation at time of the events held and propose the integration of inner ground with the hall. In addition, we planned that people are able to come and go through the hall with the elevators, and proposed to make the barrier-free main hall located in the middle of site. The proposed appearance aims to respect the main hall as much as possible and to make it feel the determination of new activities of the temple in the same time. We hope this temple becomes a hub of exchanges that is unique to the locals, and able to occupy many activities during the big events.
