MOJIKO BEER HOUSEMOJIKO BEER HOUSE

This project is a company-owned restaurant where freshly brewed beer from MOJIKO BEER, a local craft brewery rooted in Mojiko, can be enjoyed directly from the factory. The site is an existing building of approximately 50 years old located in a corner of the Mojiko port area. The renovation was guided by the theme of maximizing both the potential of the existing structure and the unique character of the port-town setting. On the first floor, a new large opening measuring 2 meters in width and 6 meters in height was introduced into the double-height space, creating a façade that opens generously to the street. The seating area is designed as an open and casual space where even first-time visitors can feel comfortable stopping by. In contrast, the third floor offers a shift in atmosphere: a calm and refined dining space where guests can relax with a beer in hand and enjoy a course meal while overlooking the Kanmon Straits. Rather than expressing more than necessary through architecture, the project aims to create a place that feels distinctly Mojiko by making the most of the qualities already present on the site.
