博多駅前三丁目の第二弾、グラフィックデザイン事務所のブランチ。博多駅前同様四季の移り変わりを感じることができるオフィス環境を求めた。休憩場所を兼ねたエントランスホールを屋外とし、オフィスに居ながらにして外気に触れる時間を提案した。会議室に行くにはホールを通る必要があるため、執務中にも外気に触れざるを得ない。また、デザイナーがリラックスして思考を巡らせることができるよう自然光がまんべんなく明るく入るようにし、断熱性能を高め上下温度差のない熱環境を提供できている。季節の良いときは窓を開け、外気に触れながら仕事が出来ることも小規模オフィスでは重要なことと考えた。

It is the Kitakyushu branch office of main graphic design office which located in front of Hakata Station, Fukuoka. We tried to create the same feelings of office environment as the main office in Hakata that can sense the transition of four seasons. We suggested the double functions of entrance, which are as a resting place and as a place to interact with outside environment while staying in the office. To go to the meeting room the staffs have to pass the entrance hall, makes even they are in office hour they still can touch the outside air. Also, in order to allow the designer to relax and keep creative, the natural light is entered while the heat insulation performance to keep the thermal environment was installed. When the outside temperature is comfort, opening some windows to circulate the outside air is also important.
